BATTLING Ferndale Girls U-14s fought hard against Premiership Aston Villa before falling to an extra-time golden goal in the League Shield Cup.
They came back from 3-1 down at half-time to draw 3-3 at the end of normal time.
A fantastic performance was put in by all, especially keeper Karla Jenkins who pulled off some great saves.
Goals came from Sarah Lojko (two) and Kirsty Robson.
The U-13s recorded a 13-1 win over Meadow Park the previous week with eight goals from Kirsty Hughes. Rebecca Monington (three), Lucy McLoughlin and Kirsty Roberts also scored.
