RECORD-breaking Ross Laidlaw has already set his sights on graduation to professional rugby after a superb season at school.
The King's School, Worcester, fly-half has clocked up 242 points from 18 games this season and captained the team to an unbeaten campaign so far. The previous points record - 200 - set by Laidlaw last year has already been shattered.
However, fresh from his feats at school level, the 18-year-old is looking to test himself against the best.
"Obviously it would be a dream to play for Worcester at a professional level," he said.
"I'm probably looking at taking a year out next year, maybe in South Africa so that will be a great experience.
"Worcester are my club, I've played for them at the junior age groups and may look at trying to get an academy place there."
For the moment, however, Laidlaw is hoping to finish off his King's career on a massive high with victory in the Daily Mail Cup.
King's moved into the last 16 yesterday with a 35-8 win over Sir John Cleveland, Hinckley. And for Laidlaw, he is confident King's can progress.
"We are playing very well and certainly we feel we can go all the way in this competition," he added.
