THE sacking of Bromsgrove boss Steve Daniels on Monday led many to believe that Phil Mullen was the man to replace him.
A telephone call from a former Evesham player now at Rovers, business links with chairman Tom Herbert and suggestions that Bromsgrove had spoken to two Western Division managers prior to Daniels' departure gave the rumourmongers plenty to talk about.
However, the Common Road chief has dismissed prospects of a move to the Midland Alliance club and reaffirmed his commitment to Evesham.
"There have been no approaches from Bromsgrove during the last week," Mullen revealed on Tues-day. "I have got a job to do at Evesham and I am more than happy to see it through.
"It's flattering when your name is linked with other clubs. I do know the chairman - we do some business together - and he asked me for advice when he took over at the start of the season but we haven't spoken about the vacancy."
