SIXTEEN houses have so far laid claim to having the most sensational seasonal spangles in Wyre Forest.
Bewdley mayor Carol Gittins has had a big response after launching a competition to find the house with the best exterior Christmas decorations in last week's Shuttle/Times and News.
A first prize of £100 worth of festive lights is on offer to the most radiant residence, with two £50 vouchers on offer as runner-up prizes.
The closing date for entries is Friday, December 21 after which the mayors of Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley will take the carnival princesses of their respective towns round for judging.
Mrs Gittins said: "I've had a few forms sent back but mostly phone calls and messages left on my answer machine.
"There have been entries from the three towns but quite a few from Stourport."
Anyone interested in entering their house in the competition can call Mrs Gittins on 01299 404113 or the Bewdley Town Clerk's office on 01299 400157.
