FROM shoulder to scalp - a Kidderminster woman went to extreme lengths to raise money for charity.

Louise Mole, 38, got rid of her brown shoulder-length hair and went for a grade one skinhead in aid of the National Society for Epilepsy and the Tyneside Leukaemia Research Association.

"I said half jokingly that I was getting my hair shaved, and the next thing I know people were saying: 'I hear you're getting your hair shaved,'" she explained. "I'll keep my mouth shut in future!"

Two weeks ago saw a rock night at the Seven Stars, Coventry Street, Kidderminster, where generous punters were invited to dig deep.

It was also Miss Mole's big night - she put herself in the capable hands of barman Eddie Stachelfki, 43, who relieved her of her flowing locks.

So far she has raised well over £100 from relatives and local shops, adding: "The shops in the Swan Centre were great."

"Overall epilepsy affects one in fifty people, and some friends of mine have got it," she added. "It's a terrible disease and nobody should have to suffer from it."
