REDS manager Rob Brown has asked for patience from fans he claims are bring 'short-changed' by their players.

The former Stourport boss, still searching for his first win, made the appeal in the wake of Saturday's disastrous 6-0 loss to Clevedon.

"I recognise the situation this club is in and feel sorry for fans and the board who are being short-changed at the moment," Brown told the Advertiser.

"I can honestly say the situation will not last, the fans have been patient so far but I would ask for more of the same."

Saturday's dismal showing prompted an about turn from Brown who will sign Halesowen Town striker Alfie Carter on a permanent basis after declaring he was not looking for 'quick fixes' last week.

And the Scot has made approaches for two other recruits this week.
