The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association is one of the oldest military charities in the UK, formed in 1885 to help relieve the need, suffering and distress of members of HM Armed Forces, their families and dependents.
There are around 7,000 caseworkers in Britain, with representation in many overseas countries.
The Kidderminster division deals with nearly 100 cases a year.
Volunteers are always needed- all that is required is enthusiasm, as training is given by specialist welfare officers. There are also NVQ qualifications to be gained. Anyone interested is asked to telephone the divisional secretary on 01562 829792 or e-mail anthonygoldsmith@tinyworld.co.uk
