The annual Christmas social evening took place on December 4.
The first meeting of the New Year, on January 8, will feature a talk by Rosemary Lyman entitled The Wartime Y-Service.
Rosemary worked as a WRNS wireless operator whose duties were to intercept the enemy Enigma-coded messages, in Morse code, at speeds often over 30 words per minute.
Her reminiscences will provide an insight into this era of radio.
The society is offering trial membership between now and September, completely free of charge, to anyone interested in radio, electronics or computers.
