THE music-lovers of Worcestershire who chose to stay by the fire rather than attend a concert at All Saints a week last Saturday missed a treat.
Those of us who turned out were rewarded with a rich tapestry of thrilling music from Vivaldi to Britten by the Elgar Chorale and Camerata under the baton of the much-loved Donald Hunt.
My reason for writing is simply to persuade others to support our local performers who seek to promote the rich musical traditions of the county. I already have my ticket for the Elgar Chorale's next concert, Christmas is Coming, at the Swan Theatre on Sunday, December 16.
