A HOST of guest musicians will join a loyal resident band for a special seasonal celebration evening at a Stourport pub next week.
The Howard Sheldon Trio - Howard Sheldon, Les Williams and George Johnson - are also celebrating 15 years of entertaining Tuesday night audiences at the Black Star.
Aged from late 50s to 70-plus, the trio - piano, bass and drums - will "have a crack at anything" but promise a distinctive jazz interpretation whatever they perform.
Guest musicians on the trumpet and trombone - among others - will join them on Tuesday from 9pm for a festive concert. Entry will be free.
The group are hoping as many as 40 people will turn up for the night of musical celebrations, including their loyal regular fan base.
Howard said: "We have been performing there every Tuesday now for 15 years apart from when I'm on holiday.
"This year we are celebrating the fact that Les Williams, who is in his 70s, is still alive!"
