PRINCE Henry's High School reached the finals of the English National Schools Cross Country Cup for the first time.
The Intermediate Girls squad was victorious in the District round at Bredon on September 25 and then finished second at the same venue seven days later.
It was on to the Regional final at Prince-thorpe College, near Rugby last month when the Henry's girls earned runners-up spot to qualify for the national finals at Stowe School, Buckingham.
Charlotte Turner and Cherrie Gayton both gained top ten finishes at Rugby and they were joined by Isobel Newman, Toni Southern, Keeley Burton, Abby Davies and reserves Victoria Ledingham and Hannah Cheung for the Stowe showdown.
Out of a total of 24 schools, featuring 144 runners on the start line, at Stowe, the Prince Henry's girls finished 17th with Turner the top finisher in 37th.
