RUDOLPH the red nosed reindeer was nowhere to be seen when Santa dropped in on Salford Priors Primary School.
Santa opted to travel by horse and cart to the school's annual Christmas fair last Saturday and sat in his grotto listening to children's Christmas wishes.
There were the usual cake and toy stalls, as well as a selection of games for children to play.
Headteacher Pat Daly said the festivities raised £836, which would go towards buying new playground equipment.
"We had a good crowd and the children were very keen to see Santa in his grotto," she said.
