A "POLITE and unassuming" Worcester man landed in court after burying his face in a clubber's cleavage and grabbing her friend's breasts in a kebab house.

Andrew Murphy cornered the woman outside the city's Le Mango nightclub and tried to kiss her.

When she shoved him away, he lunged at her breasts.

His victim spotted Murphy being escorted from Barrels Wine Bar by bouncers.

"He went up to the woman and, without prompting, tried to kiss her," said Peter Parson, prosecuting at Droitwich magistrates yesterday. "She pushed him away so he put his face down her cleavage. She pushed him away again but he tried to kiss her again."

The girl's friends came to her rescue and they walked to the Istanbul Kebab House.

"Murphy followed and touched one of the women's bottoms," said Mr Parson. "He was told to stop but in the takeaway did it again.

"He was told to pack it in. Suddenly, he grabbed hold of both her breasts."

Thirty-six-year-old Murphy - who sobbed in court - continued to pester her until a customer had words.

Murphy squared up to him and called him a "fat b*****d" - so the takeaway staff grabbed the knives from the counter and hid them.

After a scuffle, he was thrown out, but went back in and hit one of the women in the face.

Murphy, who had drunk Jack Daniels on top of five pints of lager, told police he "couldn't believe" he was being accused of committing an indecent assault in the early hours of Saturday, September 29.

But he later admitted three counts, as well as assault and affray.

Martha Recordon, defending, said Murphy, of Trevithick Close, Warndon Villages, was "shocked and devastated", and had the support of his wife.

"He's never tried to blame drink. But he's not consumed alcohol since, because he's been so traumatised. He's told me he finds it difficult to comprehend what he's done."

Miss Recordon passed the bench a letter from his boss, stating he was "unassuming, polite, open, honest and trustworthy", and promised to see a counsellor and psychiatrist.

Magistrates gave him a 12-month Community Rehabilitation Order, told him to pay the women £700 compensation and £118 costs.
