THIS Sunday, the dedication of the new vestry at St James' Church will be performed by the Bishop of Dudley at 4pm. The new vestry was provided by a bequest from the late Rev John Pumphry. On Christmas Eve there will be crib service at 4pm in St James' Church when the children of Junior Church will take part in a special nativity presentation. On Christmas Day family Communion will be celebrated at 9.30am.
An Evening of Christmas Words & Music is being held in Callow End Village Hall on Thursday, December 20 at 7.30pm. The Children's Choir led by Tom Wells will take part and mince pies and coffee will also be served.
Following Christmas and all its indulgences, a five mile walk is planned by Powick Parish Ramblers for Friday, December 28. Meet at the Blue Bell at 10am for the walk which is combined with Worcester Ramblers Association. For details ring Chris on (01905) 831415.
