THERE will be a meeting of the Wellington Heath Parish Council on Tuesday, December 18, starting at 7.30pm, in the committee room of the Memorial Hall. This is a very important meeting, when the parish councillors will be setting the budget for the year 2002/2003. This is the amount of money which will be needed to maintain/or improve the village. This money is known as the Precept and is claimed from every householder in the Parish, amount depending upon the Band of your property. So this is important to you, come and listen to how YOUR money is to be spent.
Thank you to the two people who have contacted the clerk and volunteered to help produce the village newsletter, you will be contacted again in the New Year to tie up the details. However, the post of parish clerk is still vacant. More details of the duties may be seen on the village notice boards. The work is very interesting and rewarding, a key role in local government. The present clerk, Mrs Pat Wilkin will be delighted to talk to anyone interested, without obligation, and help wherever possible.
