WORCESTER City have been boosted by the news that Darren Middleton does not need surgery on his injured knee.
The midfielder received the good news after a scan on the injury that has kept him out since the beginning of November.
Manager John Barton is hoping he will be back in action in the next few weeks. He said: "It is a case of building it back up again now. Hopefully it won't be long before he's back."
City are still awaiting a reply from Bedworth United over their increased offer for young striker Adam Webster.
