A CATALOGUE of injuries are threatening to hit Hereford United's chances of climbing the Nationwide Conference table.
Several players are doubtful for tomorrow's home clash with Nuneaton Borough (3pm).
Player-coach Phil Robinson strained a thigh in a midweek reserve match while midfielder John Snape pulled a hamstring during training.
Scott Goodwin and goalkeeper Matt Baker are both nursing calf injuries, which could mean call-ups for young goalkeeper Lee Evans and experienced midfielder Ian Rodgerson, who came through a full 90 minutes for the reserves.
Robinson said: "It is a bit of a blow having so many doubts leading up to the game, but we just have to get on with it."
Following the end of their FA Cup run with a 3-2 defeat at Swindon last week, Robinson has challenged his players to reproduce their cup form in the league as they bid to pull away from their current position of 18th, two points outside the relegation zone.
The Bulls have not won in their last four Conference outings and haven't scored in any of those games.
Robinson added: "The players have set the standards -- now it is up to them to show they can do it in the league as well."
One consolation for the Bulls is that Nuneaton's current form is even worse than theirs.
Steve Burr's men have lost their last three games -- all at home -- and have won only once in eight attempts to slip to seventh in the table, having started the season impressively.
They did, however, beat Hereford 2-0 at Manor Park back in August, when Bulls 'keeper Baker was given his marching orders.
Robinson said of Nuneaton: "They are a strong, hard-working team who started the season very well but have had a little dip in form.
"Nevertheless, they have some quality players in their team, particularly Marc McGregor up front."
Robinson has called on the Edgar Street fans to play their part in willing United to victory tomorrow, having praised the 2,000-plus travelling fans who went to Swindon last week.
He said: "It is times like this when we are going to need the backing of the fans. When they do get behind us in numbers it can push us on to some excellent performances.
"It is frustrating for them sometimes but it is very important now that they get behind the lads and give us all the backing they can."

FORMCAST: Hereford will end their poor run with a 2-1 victory.
