The Band of West Mercia Constabulary is to play Birmingham's Symphony Hall as a guest of comedienne Victoria Wood on Wednesday.
The concert, entitled Christmas Crackers, will help the CRAB Appeal (Cancer Research at Birmingham) fund research into cancers that affect children.
Also performing at the event, to be compered by Midlands Today presenters Nick Owen and Sue Beardsmore, will be the City of Birmingham Symphony Youth Chorus and the West Mercia Constabulary Male Voice Choir.
Eddie Barry, the West Mercia band chairman, said: "The band is pleased to have been asked to play alongside a celebrity and support such a worthy cause."
The box office is on 0121 7803333.
