A FORAGING badger in its quest for a tasty late night snack in Bromsgrove town centre is giving parks staff at the district council a headache.
The normally well managed grassed area around the Burma Star memorial in Crown Close, it appears, hold a special attraction for Brock.
Large areas have been dug up no doubt to provide the animal with a meal of worms, slugs and other badger delicacies.
The churned up turf was spotted by an Advertiser/Messenger reporter who called Rob Heard, Bromsgrove District Council's parks and recreation development manager.
He confirmed the damage was the work of a badger:
"They are a protected species and we will simply have to wait until it goes away or moves on before we can set about repairing the turf," he said.
"It is a small price to pay for creating urban green spaces that naturally attract different types of wild life."
