A BUSY Bromsgrove cobbler and his hardworking elves are urging seasonal shoppers to pop in to his town centre shop and collect their forgotten shoes.
Martin Connellan, who trades as the Bromsgrove Cobbler, told the Advertiser/Messenger his Church Street shop has been taken over by shoes awaiting collection.
He estimated that there are more than a hundred pairs of repaired shoes on the shelves, and vowed to donate them to charity if they were still there after Christmas.
Martin said: "When I started working here, more than 12 years ago, there was a shelf which held repaired shoes ready for collection, now the shelf is 30ft long with no room for any more shoes.
"This is a success story in Bromsgrove, the business is doing very well -- but," said an anxious Martin, "please come and collect your shoes."
