FESTIVE townsfolk can exercise their vocal chords at a Christmas carol concert next week.
Churches Together in Bromsgrove has joined forces with Bromsgrove District Council chairman Cllr Mike Gill (Con, Woodvale) to urge residents to join the seasonal singsong on Wednesday, December 19.
The event is being held in Bromsgrove's Market Hall, in St John Street, and revellers can look forward to performances from the Droitwich Salvation Army, the Churches Together Choir, and The Mount School choir.
There will also be a seasonal reading from Cllr Gill and a collection for Macmillan Cancer Relief, the chairman's charity.
Baptist minister Rev Howard Heyburn will lead the concert, assisted by Rev Wendy Moore, from All Saint's Church in Birmingham Road, starting at 6.30pm.
Cllr Gill said: "Please come along and join us for this special occasion when we can unite to celebrate in prayer and praise.
"Christmas is a time for happiness and good cheer."
He added: "We will, of course reflect on the past, and the sad events that have recently take place, but we must also look forward to the future.
"Come along, and sing with us."
Cllr Gill said: "Everybody is welcome- local residents, families, friends and visitors to the town.
"We would like to see you all."
