LANGLAND Sports reached the halfway point in the season unbeaten with a convincing victory over an attacking Plumbers Arms.
PLUMBERS ARMS 0, LANGLAND SPORTS 7
Langland's Rob Perrins had two chances well saved before the first goal came from a Drinkwater 45 yard pass to Ed Palmer, who controlled with his right foot and volleyed in with his left.
Number two came when Rob Perrins crossed for Ed Palmer to leap above the defenders and head the ball into the bottom corner.
Plumbers continued their attacking play but, with Jason Howes and Mark Brookes in outstanding form, they never had much success.
Interplay between Sam Dakin and Dean Drinkwater allowed the latter to play a low cross to give Ed Palmer a tap-in for his hat-trick.
Rob Perrins got himself on the score sheet within minutes beating the keeper with ease. Then Stu Harvey grabbed number 16 of the season, equalling Rob Perrins total as top goal scorer. The goal came about when Robbins, with great possession play, was allowed the chance to beat the full back and shoot, the goalkeeper parried straight to Harvey to score from close range for 5-0 at half time.
Ed Palmer's fourth came from a Rob Perrins corner after Brookes won the back post header and Palmer topped an excellent game by grabbing his fifth late on when Harvey played a square ball for Palmer to strike on the half volley.
Man of the Match: Jason Hawes.
Next week no game, but home to Oak Apple the week after (December 23), meet 9.50am at Dukes Meadow.
