FOUR five-week-old puppies have been found dumped in freezing conditions outside an Evesham caravan park.
The tan coloured terrier cross puppies - three bitches and a dog - were found huddled next to a box containing two abandoned guinea pigs outside the Weir Meadow caravan park at 6am yesterday.
RSPCA inspector Chris Simpson said the puppies were freezing cold.
"These puppies were lucky to be discovered when they were or they could have been very badly affected by the freezing conditions," he said.
"They have been checked over by a vet and are all well except their tails have been docked. It is illegal for anyone except a vet to perform this unnecessary operation."
The puppies are being cared for by the RSPCA, and the guinea pigs have been rehomed.
The RSPCA is appealing for anyone with information to contact the charity on its 24-hour telephone number, 08705 555999.
