Luckless Kidderminster Harriers saw victory cruelly snatched from them as their winning run came to an end in defeat at Exeter.
Jan Molby's men produced some excellent football but only had one goal to show for their efforts through the prolific Dean Bennett on 31 minutes.
The Harriers paid for missed chances as Exeter carried out a stunning smash and grab raid.
Two mistakes by keeper Stuart Brock gave goals to the home side for Graeme Tomlinson on 69 minutes and Steve Flack five minutes later.
It was rough justice for Harriers whose four-match winning run in Division Three is at an end.
And there was controversy over Flack's winner as the visitors' claimed right-back Ian Clarkson had cleared the ball before it crossed the line.
