A MAN living in a block of flats in Worcester has criticised another resident's claim that addicts are on every landing.
Jonathan Morgan had told Droitwich magistrates that Vicarage Court in St Paul's was "stacked full" of addicts and dealers.
He was in court for a review of his Drug Treatment and Testing Order last Thursday.
Morgan said he had been stabbed in the leg because he refused to sell heroin and claimed dealers pestered people living there.
But another resident at Vicarage Court said it was "a lovely place to live."
"A lot of people in this building have nothing to do with drugs," said the resident who refused to be named.
"Vicarage Court is not as bad as people make out.
"Everyone knows there has been a serious drugs problem in Worcester for some considerable time.
"Ninety per cent of people have nothing to do with drugs.
"A lot of people here are upset about it being called a drug den. This is a lovely place to live."
He admitted some people in the building did have a problem with drugs but said the minority was giving the place a bad name.
"I've never taken drugs in my life and I never will," he added.
