WORCESTER City boss John Barton says there is still work to be done to get his side back on the straight and narrow -- despite their fine 3-1 win at Welling on Saturday.
Mark Shepherd's hat-trick gave City only their second away win of the season in the Dr Martens League Premier Division and helped them shrug off a poor sequence of results.
But Barton said: "We are pleased with the victory, but it hasn't altered the situation. It can help to turn it round but we need to knock it on again.
"We certainly didn't enjoy the week that we have had since 7.30 last Tuesday evening. Things clearly weren't good enough.
"We were looking to make progress and with what has happened recently, that looked remote. But we changed the system and changed a few personnel, and the response was good."
City are in league action again at Tiverton Town on Wednesday, but their Central Conference League Cup game at Burton tonight has been postponed.
