REDS assistant Gary Whild has warned it is time to bring in recruits in the wake of last night's 3-1 loss to Atherstone United.
The former Stourport assistant said there were at most half a dozen players with the talent to play at United's level after the club dropped into the bottom three.
The winding up of newly-merged Bloxwich United means there should only be two relegation spots from the Dr Martens Western Division this season but Whild is taking nothing for granted.
"The euphoria of a new manager coming in quickly fades," he said.
"The task here is bigger than we envisaged but no worse than we had at Stourport."
Halesowen Town striker Kerry Giddins is 90 per cent certain to link up with United on loan by the end of the week.
Whild confirmed strikers Neil Beagan and Joey Dowling, midfielder Jamie McWilliam and goalkeeper Matt Jones have left the club.
