IN my letter dated (You Say, December 11) I referred to the telephone discussions between Mike George, of BBC Hereford & Worcester, and Peter Luff, the Headteachers' Forum, and Mike Foster.
The MP implied that the joint visit to the Commons by Peter Luff and the Forum had not produced any effect and that the Forum had a "political bias" (which he later tried to withdraw).
In the James Slack column (Evening News, December 8) we find that the headteachers "stuff an extra £3m in the bank and refuse to spend it on the pupils".
Peter Luff rightly refers to the comments as insulting, albeit that they were intended for Mike Foster's "own party's supporters".
Shining example
What a shining example of the value of "leaks" which tend to present some in their true light.
It appears that any attempt to divert any credit for funding improvement from our sitting MP provokes a reaction resembling that of a "spoiled child" - particularly as Peter Luff and the Headteachers' Forum had the temerity to go directly to the Department of Education, having been less than impressed by the attitude of our MP.
Let us hope that such petty reactions will be remembered at the next election.
G WALTON,
Worcester.
