TWO men masquerading as delivery workers stole £150 from a Worcester pensioner.
The men knocked on the woman's door in St Catherine's Vale, off London Road, at about 4.15pm on Friday, December 14, and told her they were delivering a parcel next door. When she stepped outside to help she noticed one of them coming out of her ground floor flat.
When she returned she found her purse, containing £150 in cash, and a key, had been taken.
"I'd urge people to make sure they know who they're talking to and whether they are genuine," said PC Claire Ryan.
"Always ask for identification - genuine callers don't mind you keeping them waiting while you check."
The conmen were white, in their 20s, quite tall, and well built. One was wearing a navy blue coat and the other was wearing a maroon coat.
Anyone with information should call police on 01905 723888, quoting 542620.
