A PENSIONER hurt her hip as she struggled with a young mugger.
The 65-year-old victim had collected her pension from the Post Office at Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster, and was walking down an alleyway leading towards Perrett Walk when the attack happened.
Police said she was approached by a cyclist, travelling in the opposite direction, who made a grab for the purse in her hand.
The victim fell to the floor hurting her hip.
The cyclist climbed off his bike and started to struggle with the woman for her purse.
He took the purse from her and cycled down the alley in the direction of Bewdley Hill.
The rider was described as a white male, of small build, aged between 15 and 16.
He was wearing a scarf, red anorak with a hood up and a light-coloured tracksuit.
The stolen purse was navy blue and rectangular in shape.
The incident took place at around 9.40am on Monday, December 17.
