DAVID Blunkett is right to propose that immigrants should further integrate by having an understanding of the English language.
I do, however, recall condemnation when previous governments suggested that professional people such as doctors coming to this country to work should also have a command of the English language.
With the proposals for single faith schools, integration is something that will only happen with the will of all the people concerned.
In this city, we have various areas where Pakistani and the Bangladeshis choose to live in their own communities because it suits the building of their community lifestyles and commerce.
You don't have to wear a badge or symbol to demonstrate your faiths - you just need to be kind to your fellow man.
I am sure that is what all Gods of all faiths would have wanted.
