THE Alcester mayor and a district councillor met Stratford Council last week to discuss the fate of Bridge End Service Station.
The council recently rejected an application for two houses on the disused Oversley Green site, which has been labelled an 'eyesore' by town councillors.
Mayor Wendy Weatherhead and Councillor Sheila Ribbans met the council to discuss what could be done on the site.
Town councillors back the idea of having houses on the land as they feel this is a way of tidying it up.
But the district council rejected it after the planning and regulation committee took advice from officers.
