A CHARITY caring for unwanted cats in Droitwich Spa is urging residents to dig deep this Christmas.
The Worcester and District Cats Protection branch, which covers the Spa, is holding a collection for cat food.
Tins, dry food and toys would all be welcomed by the needy felines.
Branch co-ordinator Lynn Glaze said: "We are a very active charity group who rely heavily on the generosity of the public, particularly at Christmas time."
Droitwich collection boxes will be situated in the Safeway supermarket, off the Saltway, Happy Pets, in High Street, and Townsend Veterinary Practice, in North Street, during December and January.
Cats Protection is a national charity run entirely by volunteers who aim to re-home strays and kittens, inform the public about caring for their pets and encourage people to neuter animals not needed for breeding.
