RESIDENTS are being urged to think green when chucking out Christmas waste
Wychavon District Council wants householders to recycle cards and trees.
The authority's waste management officer, Louise Warner, said: "Christmas is an expensive time for many of us and cards and trees are on display for such a short time over the festive period.
"But, it's not such a waste if you recycle them."
Christmas trees can be recycled at Webbs of Wychbold, off Worcester Road, and David's Nurseries, in Martin Hussingtree, between Wednesday January 2 and Saturday January 12 2002.
Christmas cards can be taken to W H Smith, in Victoria Square, Droitwich Spa, or to the council's recycling bins.
