TOP soil and hard toil were on the minds of young Spa gardeners planting for the future.
Children at Chawson First School planted ten trees in their Wych Road grounds in a bid to improve the environment.
Trees were paid for by the hard working parents associations and the activity coincided with National Tree Planting Week.
Staff from logistics firm Reality, at Berry Hill Industrial Estate, gave a helping hand.
Acting headteacher Eleanor Sinton said: "It's very important that we try to preserve the environment and the planting session was a present to the future."
