MEMBERS of Worcester Royal Infirmary sports and social club braved the elements to raise much-needed money for sick children.
Twenty members dressed as Father Christmas spent four hours offering people who live in Ronkswood mince pies and hot toddy in aid of ill children at the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
The group decided to hold the money-raising event last night after the great grandchild of two members spent the first 18 months of his life at the hospital.
Three-year-old Kieron Fletcher was born prematurely with a variety of complications, meaning he has spent a third of his life at the hospital.
But the youngster, who is great-grandson of club members Janet and John Holmes, has to regularly attend the hospital.
Marian Hooper said she was delighted with the response which netted a fund-raising boost of £216.
