EVESHAM United and Halesowen Town must replay to earn the right to entertain Moor Green in the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Club after they drew 1-1 in last night's first round tie at Common Road.
United produced a vastly improved performance and deserved another crack against the Dr Martens League Western Division leaders.
Evesham held the upper hand during the opening half.
Shaun Pratt's early effort was disallowed for off-side and then Yeltz goalkeeper Tim Clarke produced a good point-blank save to denied the same player.
Evesham deservedly took the lead four minutes before the interval. Andy Smith's free kick found its way to Phil Preedy and he outpaced full-back Richard Colwall before beating Clarke with a powerful low drive.
The second half was a more even affair and the visitors levelled on 59 minutes.
Matty Hall collected Colwall's throw in and crossed to Ross Collins who made no mistake. After this the tie could have gone either way the closest being Pratt's header near the end that flew inches over.
