A MARRIED man had sex with a schoolgirl after his wife went into hospital for an operation, a jury was told.

Another teenage girl allegedly saw 36-year-old Simon Bullock kissing the victim, Worcester Crown Court heard.

Malcolm Parkes, prosecuting, said the girl helped them look for the condom pack top they had mislaid.

Bullock denies four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and one of indecency with a child.

Mr Parkes claimed the defendant "took the opportunity" of his wife's hospital stay - in July, last year - to make love to the girl.

He said Bullock also persuaded her to perform a sexual act on him.

The girl made a complaint and Bullock, of Manor Road, Clifton upon Teme, was arrested. He denied any wrongdoing.

In a two-hour videotaped police interview - shown to the jury - the girl said Bullock taught her how to roll cigarettes and began kissing her.

She maintained that it progressed to sex and that Bullock knew she was under 16.
