MORE horror stories from Wyre Forest folk unlucky enough to have experienced the Sun Sea 3 self-catering apartments in Benidorm, Spain, have been surfacing.
Lee English, 20, who returned last Thursday from the Costa Blanca, said he was desperate to leave throughout his week-long stay with his mother, father and girlfriend, Zohrah Bappes.
"If we weren't flying back I would have got a boat and started paddling," said Mr English, of Lea Street, Kidderminster.
"It was the first holiday me and my girlfriend went on, but it wasn't relaxing in the slightest. The four of us paid £1,000 for a week's self-catering - for that money we could have gone to Australia."
He continued: "We had to pay a £40 deposit to watch TV and £30 to use the cooker - in a self-catering flat. The block was a fortress and the steps up to it were unlit."
Many of the complaints made by Paul Buckley to the Shuttle/Times & News last week were echoed by Mr English. He said: "The building was freezing and next door to a massive construction site where they were working morning 'til night," he said.
"There was no bar, we requested a ground floor apartment but were put on the sixth floor, and the balconies had holes in them. It was a disgrace."
And Pauline Davies, of Hemming Street, Kidderminster, who stayed in the same block in September while celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary, said: "It was just awful from the start. As soon as we got there I wanted to leave."
A spokesperson for Airtours said: "We would be disappointed to hear if anyone has not been happy with their accommodation. We would urge anyone with a problem to contact customer services who will look into each case individually."
She added: "The resort will have logged everything and they will send a report to customer services, so they will have all the necessary information."
