SOMETIMES things happen so fast that you feel you are on a roller coaster ride and can't get off.
Circumstances can slip into place as though fate is pre-ordained, and whirlwind events whip you into the fast lane of life.
Pop band Pure, who have only been together for four months, could well be on the speedy ladder to success after recording a killer ballad Why Does Christmas Have To Be So Cold?
Not only have they generated interest from major record labels and publishing companies, including EMI records and publishing giant BMG, but Radio Wyvern has recently put the record on its C list.
Radio Wyvern said we could have a hit on our hands for next Christmas, enthuses Steven Wilson, the founder member of Pure.
BBC Hereford & Worcester are also looking to back us.
It's like a brilliant car journey. You're checking the scenery and you know its fantastic, but you don't have a chance to look back.
It's easy to be swept away but we want to remain level-headed".
Pure, who are based in Worcester, recorded a demo of the track at Timeless Productions studio, in Coventry.
They will be showcasing the Christmas ballad as part of two gigs at RSVP, Worcester, on Christmas Eve, when they plan to sing a handful of songs at 4pm and 8.30pm
Pure comprise four vocalists Steven Wilson, aged 21, Stuart Wilson, 22, Jay Drummond, 23, and Jason Towers, 24.
The group, who are all friends, reckon everything just slotted into place when they formed in September.
I'm a DJ in Worcester and knew Stuart and Jason through going out, says Steve.
Jason introduced me to Jay and we thought we'd put together an act. It was incredible how it all came together, like divine intervention.
Jason and Jay have been firm friends for five years and Steve and Stuart have been mates for two years.
Pure, who model their sound on Westlife, Take That, Backstreet Boys and N*Sync, aim to aim for achievements as large as possible by eclipsing their heroes.
We've got an N*Sync attitude, full of raw energy, says Steve.
Jay is a professional dancer and does contemporary and club dancing. We can all dance and he choreographs all our moves.
Jay is influenced by Michael Jackson and Usher with his dance moves. The ones he's choreographed are excellent moves ,such as Janet Jackson's energetic style.
Pure, who sing original material as well a few cover versions, perform live over backing tracks they've recorded on mini discs.
They plan to launch a single and an album in the New Year and claim that their style is unique with unlimited appeal.
We want to be big. You have to want to be the best. But we are doing this because we have got something to offer people and we love what we are doing, says Steve.
Tickets for the Christmas Eve gig at RSVP can be obtained from the venue.
