WORCESTER Golf and Country Club's scratch team has landed a second consecutive Worcestershire and District League title.
The Boughton Park team, who won their first ever title last year, were beaten just once in a series of home and away matches against Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Cleobury Mortimer, Droitwich and Malvern.
Captain Phil Campbell led the team which also featured Lee Richardson, Tony Clements, Matt Whitehouse, Stuart Band, Robbie Evans and Sam Woodward.
"We won it last year for the first time in the club's history in something like 17 years of entering the competition so to do it twice is a great achievement," said Campbell.
"We won it by something like 10 points, which was no mean feat because it is not easy playing home and away matches and we managed to only lose once.
"It was very much a team effort and we're all looking forward to making it a hat-trick of victories next year."
Richardson, who is a scratch golfer, also had a successful county year winning the President's Trophy and maintaining a 100 per cent record.

Close on their heals is another junior Kevin Barnes, seven points adrift, but with less than half the matches played it is still an open contest.
