FIVE Ways Old Edwardians' up-and-down season continued at the weekend as they crashed out of the North Midlands Shield at the first hurdle.
The Hopwood side were undone 30-10 by North Midlands One rivals Veseyans, a slight improvement on the 31-0 hammering handed out in the league earlier in the season.
Winger Joe Lindley is doubtful for the daunting visit of second placed Edwardians on Saturday (ko 2.15pm) with an ankle problem.
And Five Ways visit near neighbours Kings Norton on Boxing Day (ko 12.30pm), in their traditional friendly fixture.
