THREE charity troubadours have made an urgent appeal for the return of an amplifier which was stolen on the eve of a series of festive shows.
The Musical Troubadours need the amplifier to carry out a number of concerts over the coming weeks which they perform, free of charge, at nursing homes and health care centres in the district.
The trio had finished a gig at St Ambrose RC Church hall, Leswell Street, Kidderminster, and were putting away their equipment when a Carlsboro Marlin PA amplifier worth £300 was stolen from a car.
Now the trio, who have brought music including Irish reels and American country and western to the community are enlisting the help of the Shuttle/Times and News to get their amp back.
Guitar/banjo player Ray Shuck, 70, of Wolverley, said: "I'm very upset and deeply disturbed by this theft.
"It makes me feel like packing it in."
The incident happened just after 11pm on Sunday, December 9, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Ray Shuck on 0789 9028054.
