A PENSIONER who drove off without stopping after hitting a car has won an appeal against a road ban.
Doreen Lynch, 79, of Perrin Avenue, Kidderminster, collided with with a VW Polo in Bromsgrove Street car park causing £200 damage.
She pleaded guilty to careless driving before Kidderminster magistrates and was fined £100 and banned from driving until she had taken a re-test.
But Deputy Judge Thomas Dillon QC removed the ban at Worcester Crown Court and said she had no previous convictions and was medically fit to drive. It was her first driving offence in 38 years.
