A BURGLAR has been given a final chance by a judge to avoid jail and beat his drug habit.
Ian Titley had not fully complied with a drug treatment and testing order because he had difficulty paying for bus fares to attend meetings, Worcester Crown Court heard.
The 25-year-old from Lane End Walk, Stourport, was given the order after he admitted breaking into a house in Old Ford Walk, Stourport.
Judge John Cavell reduced the defendant's probation and community drugs' team sessions from five to three a week.
He told Titley he had come extremely close to breaching the order. If he did not comply with the new terms, or if he tested positive for drugs, he could expect a custodial sentence.
Titley, who also pleaded guilty to receiving stolen goods from another break-in, was ordered to return to court on January 7 for a review.
