STRUGGLING Cleobury Mortimer continue to seek the confidence, performances and tries to pull away from the bottom of Midlands Four West (North).
They suffered an 18-0 home defeat on Saturday to high-flying Tamworth who scored all their goals in the second half.
Cleobury welcomed back Ian King and Allan Shields from injury but failed to convert one of the few chances created in a point-less first half of hustle and bustle.
However, the home side belied their position and were closest when a breakaway was foiled near the line.
But Tamworth's backs threatened when they secured enough possession.
The visitors broke the deadlock with a penalty and a well-constructed try.
Now against the slope, the scores dampened the home team spirit.
Even though they defended resolutely, Cleobury failed to create an attacking platform to respond in the second period.
Tamworth added another penalty and a converted try just before the final place.

The scoreline did not reflect a close match as Cleobury were unlucky not to score.
There were excellent displays from Ian Harrington and Jamie Taylor.
