THERE will be a familiar face between the sticks at Bedworth tomorrow when Damien Beattie makes his return to Evesham colours.

Common Road chief Phil Mullen confirmed on Wed-nesday that the Australian goalkeeper's release from Hinckley United had been agreed.

The popular Beattie will join former Nuneaton striker Richard Leadbetter in what could be a much changed side.

"We have get to get our act together," said Mullen after Tuesday's Worcesterhire Senior Cup draw with Halesowen Town.

"We showed a few of our frailties again tonight but Jay (Powell) and Phil (Preedy) both came through the match alright and that was a good thing."

Steve Taylor, free from suspension and the scorer of two goals for Bromsgrove on Wednesday, and Shaun Cunnington will both come into contention but a holidaying Matt Pendleton will miss the next three games.

Mullen's son, Scott, is suffering with a rib injury and he could be the man to make way for former Wol-ves and Hereford striker Leadbetter from the 11 that started in midweek.

After successive home defeats and the loss of six points as a result of Bloxwich's resignation, the Robins have slumped to 13th in the Western Division table and a win is imperative at Bedworth.

United entertain Stourport Swifts on Boxing Day (11.30am), a match sponsored by Cotswold Prov-isions. The ball is being sponsored by Aircell Communications.
