A CENTRE offering help with claiming benefits for people with mental health problems has moved to new premises in Kidderminster to cope with the level of demand.
Organisers say the Benefits Helpnet project is unique because the centre, now in The Horsefair, is run by service users, ex-service users and carers of mental health services.
The centre, which was previously based in an office at the Edward Parry Centre, is funded by county council social services and covers all benefits including Income Support and housing benefit.
The Mayor of Kidderminster Councillor John Stevens, who opened the centre last week, said: "I hope the community makes good use of this extremely useful resource."
The centre is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and can be contacted on 01562 753799.
