THE Hogwarts Express will not be putting in another appearance on Severn Valley Railway after Warner Brothers, which created the Harry Potter blockbusting film, said, "th..th..that's all folks!"
The US film giant has ordered the Kidderm-inster to Bridgnorth steam train railway to remove name plates from the red locomotive which will now be returned to its former dark green livery.
The Taw Valley engine shot to fame after it was used to promote Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last year when it undertook a 1,200-mile round trip of Britain. The locomotive made a number of special SVR appearances over the summer.
SVR marketing manager John Leach said Warner Brothers had written to SVR in October refusing its application for a licence to continue with the name plates, saying the proposed use was "unsuitable".
But he said SVR was not "unduly unhappy" as the proposed number of appearances of the Hogwarts Express were limited and it had not proved a massive draw.
