ROD Brown continued efforts to beef up his attack ahead of the home clash with Bedworth tomorrow.
The Scot, as expected, has gone back to his old stamping ground with a seven day approach for Stourport hitman Lee Booth.
And he is set for talks with Evesham United attacking midfielder Andy Hodgetts tonight.
Brown has already spoken to the out-of-favour midfielder after Evesham manager Phil Mullen waived the seven day rule.
The two were set for further talks before the Evesham star jets off on a week's holiday.
Hard-tackling midfielder Craig Harris, a free agent since Bloxwich United went under, put pen to paper last night and will be in the squad tomorrow but Halesowen Town striker Alfie Carter did not turn up to sign for the club and has not contacted Brown.
"It's not dead yet," said the Reds boss, "but if a player cannot be bothered to tell us why he cannot show I'm not sure he's the sort we want at the club.
"I will be seeking an explanation."
Redditch have been dealt another blow with the loss of fiery midfielder Richard Field.
Field will also miss the Worcestershire Senior Cup visit of Solihull Borough on Tuesday after picking up a back injury against Moor Green.
